Peace, Pies and Prophets

Peace is the focus of the free live performance by Ted Swartz and Tim Ruebke of their I'd Like to Buy an Enemy show. The show is a thought provoking satire that explores peace, justice and the American way through  storytelling, skits and sketches.

Pies donated by volunteers are auctioned in order to provide this live, free performance. The spring 2012 tour generated over $30,000 from the sales of over 300 pies as well as the donations  and personal contributions of individuals benefiting the Christian Peacemaker Teams.

Prophetic only in its power of alliteration the Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) are a truly wonderful organization whose mission is to build partnerships to transform violence and oppression  The CPT, at the invitation of local peace and human rights workers, place violence-reduction teams in militarized areas and crisis situations, embracing the vision of unarmed intervention.
