Third day of spring

Today is the third day of spring and this snow covered wonderland outside is my backyard. This wouldn't be surprising if I lived in Canada or Maine, Michigan or Sweden, but Washington State in March. Really? You wouldn't know it by these pictures of my snow covered backyard this morning, but it really is the third day of spring. I find the weather kind of hilarious, more so I find peoples reactions to the weather hilarious. If it snowed on March 10th or even March 30th no one would comment or care. The newness of spring had faded from ones mind. They no longer cared to comment of the fact that it was only the third of fourth or first day of spring. In a world ruled my monotheistic religions the masses don’t prescribe to the lore and importance of the spring equinox so for a couple days surrounding it we care that it’s almost spring or is just barely spring. But for the most part we don’t care and if the fickle winds want to blow in storm clouds and dump a couple inches of snow on us at the end of march, it really doesn't matter. It’s just a little funny is all.
