Voodoo Doughnut is something of a local legend. What started as a complete hole in the wall shop in the "crotch" of Portland has flourished. Not only does the hole in the wall shop still remain in Old-Town, but now its recently renovated and a little bigger. Voodoo Doughnuts has expanded to three locations and has made a conscious move toward more environmentally friendly business policies such as their company wide compost and recycling waste system.

What's also kind of awesome, is Voodoo Doughnuts currently holds the record for the largest box of doughnuts weighing 666 pounds doubling the previous record of 333 pounds. Not only is it innovative and admirable what they have done as a whole to try and reduce their carbon footprint, they also support a number of important non profits and causes such as
Urban Opportunities,
Wheels of Justice,
Ken Kesey Fund and
Open Hearts Open Minds.
