Individuals tend to rise to their level of incompetence Those individuals tend to be in positions of leadership it seems. Not that I'd ever really want their job, yet it is rather obnoxious to be constantly managing upward. To spend so much time trying to ensure your own boss isn't interfering with your performance. Its kind of disappointing when you have to check and recheck everything your superior does, since it'll inevitably come back to you. So here I am having just spent most of an hour rushing around, smoothing ruffled feathers , simply because I handed off the simple delivery of a a gift, complete with the time at which it needed to be delivered to the guests room.
Low and behold it goes to the wrong room. All I can say is thank the powers that be that the guests in the room it was delivered to have not yet arrived. That would make for a VERY awkward situation. But I guess that's just life my job drives me crazy, my boss makes me berserk and at the end of the day I still get blamed for things I didn't do. Thank the gods I don't work tomorrow.
